AFTERTHOUGHTS, and now I'm a habitual reader of her thought provoking posts. She and other ladies are currently in a book club reading of Ten Ways to Destroy the Imagination of Your Child, by Anthony Esolen, and in one of their comments-conversations, another book, Poetic Knowledge, came up. Some of us showed interest in reading it and Mystie graciously offered to host the next book club which will start April 5th.
Poetic Knowledge: The Recovery of Education, by James S. Taylor, can be found in electronic format at NETLIBRARY, or purchased at Amazon. I read the introduction and first chapter last night, and though short what I read was rich in ideas, thoughts, and it surely left me with a deep desire to be restored or inducted into Poetic Knowledge.
I hope some of you decide to join this book club of a book that will surely change and widen your views about life and education. A book worth to explore in good company.
